2 accused of sexually assaulting the same child indicted by Potter County grand jury

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Two people accused of sexually assaulting the same child were indicted.

A Potter County grand jury indicted Michael Lynn Gooden, 40, on four counts of sexually assault of a child. Emily Johnson, 27, was indicted on one count of sexual assualt.

According to the indictment, Gooden and Johnson sexually assaulted the victim on August 9, 2022.

Gooden then did the same in September and October.

The complaint was filed on Halloween.

Both were arrested on Nov. 20 and are still in the Potter County Jail.
