AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — One person was shot after following a "large fight" at a bar in downtown Amarillo.

Around 1 a.m. Sunday, police responded to a shots fired call at Chesney's Whiskey Saloon located at 715 S Polk Street.

There was a large fight inside the bar.

The parties involved in the fight were being escorted out of the bar when one of them pulled out a gun and began shooting.

One person was hit. He was driven to the hospital by friends.

Police said the victim suffered life-threatening injuries.
