Amarillo Fire Marshal investigating apartment fire that displaced 4

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The Amarillo Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of an apartment fire that displaced four residents and impacted other families.

Officials say Amarillo Fire Department crews were called to a structure fire on Wisdom Drive near Wolflin Avenue.

Multiple crews arrived around 1:40 a.m. Thursday and found flames on the corner between two apartment buildings.

The fire department says crews quickly extinguished the fire and confirmed there were no people inside the buildings.

The fire was contained by around 3:50 a.m.

There were no injuries reported among civilians or firefighters.

The American Red Cross was contacted to assist four displaced residents and multiple families that were impacted by the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
