Amarillo police: 520 fentanyl pills, $45,000 cash found during traffic stop
AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Amarillo police say officers have arrested a fentanyl dealer with a large amount of cash.
On Tuesday, March 12, officers from the Proactive Criminal Enforcement Unit received information about a suspect who was reported to be selling fentanyl.
Officers developed probable cause through a traffic violation and stopped the man.
Police say he was found to be wanted on local charges and arrested.
Police identify the suspect as Neal Fry.
A passenger in the car was identified as Mariena Morrow. She was found to have a local warrant and was also arrested.
Police say she was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia relating to fentanyl.
Officers then searched the car, and police say they found 520 fentanyl pills and $45,000 cash.
Fry was booked into the Potter County Jail for manufacture/delivery of controlled substance.
Morrow was booked into the Randall County Jail for her local charge and drug paraphernalia.

Amarillo officers found more than 500 fentanyl pills and $45,000 in a vehicle after two people were arrested Tuesday in connection to suspected fentanyl distribution in Amarillo, the Amarillo Police Department (APD) said Wednesday.
On Tuesday, March 12, officers from the Proactive Criminal Enforcement Unit (PACE) received information about a suspect who was reported to be selling fentanyl.
"Officers developed probable cause on the subject through a traffic violation and stopped him. The subject was found to be wanted on local charges and arrested," the police news release stated.
The suspect, identified as Neal Fry, 34, was arrested. A passenger in the car, Mariena Morrow, 29, was found to have one local warrant, and was arrested. Morrow was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia relating to fentanyl, according to APD.
Officers also searched the vehicle and found 520 fentanyl pills and $45,000 in cash, both belonging to Fry, APD said.
Fry was booked into the Potter County Jail on suspicion of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1, more than 4 grams / less than 200 grams. Morrow was booked into the Randall County Jail.
