AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — An armed suspect was arrested after a SWAT standoff at a La Quinta.

The Amarillo Police Department's SWAT team was attempting to arrest Anthony Fitzgerald Bowman, 38, for a parole warrant.

Bowman -- who was believed to be armed with a gun -- was located in a room at the La Quinta Inn at 1708 East I-40.

Bowman came out around 3:15 p.m. and was taken into custody.
