Woman hit, killed while crossing street | KVII

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — A pedestrian was hit by a truck and killed while crossing SE 10th Avenue at Manhattan on Wednesday afternoon.

Officers were sent to the accident at 1:55 p.m.

The pedestrian, identified as Melanie Yazbek, 57, had been crossing SE 10th Ave. at Manhattan Street when they were struck by a white Ford truck, driven by a 29-year-old man, turning from Manhattan onto SE 10th.

The pedestrian died at the scene.
