Amarillo police: 2 arrested for murder near Jason Avenue
AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Two people have been arrested in connection to a murder near Jason Avenue on Sept. 17.
According to a news release, Amarillo police officers were called to the area of Jason Avenue. Officers arrived at the scene to find 26-year-old Tiray James Evans, who had been shot.
Evans died at the scene.
Officials say 27-year-old James Childs was arrested and charged with murder on Sept. 18.
On Sept. 27, 31-year-old Markeen Tiiedrick Rayshon Walker was arrested in the area of 38th and S. Jackson Street.
Both men were booked into the Potter County Detention Center.
This investigation is still ongoing.
