AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — One suspect was arrested in connection with a carjacking. But the two masked gunmen accused of pulling it off are still on the run.
Guillermo Ramirez was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
The carjacking happened Monday afternoon in the Tyson Foods parking lot.
According to Potter County Sheriff Brian Thomas, a 50-year-old woman was sitting in her car when she was approached by a white male in his 40s and a white female in her 20s.
Both suspects were armed with a gun and wearing masks.
They pointed their guns at the woman, made her get out and then drove off in the victim’s Nissan Maxima.
Around 2 p.m. Tuesday, Potter County deputies found the Maxima. They also arrested Ramirez, but Sheriff Thomas said they do not believe he was involved in the carjacking itself.
