BORGER, Texas (KVII) — An intoxicated driver is accused of killing a pedestrian in Borger on Saturday.
According to Borger PD, the incident happened "at approximately 1:50 a.m." when officers were dispatched to the 600 block of N. Harvey Street for a car accident.
"Upon arrival , officers found a male subject had been struck by a vehicle in the roadway."
The pedestrian is identified as 26-year-old Arley Morales from Amarillo.
After life-saving measures were attempted by EMS Morales was transported to Golden Plains Hospital, where he later died.
The driver of the vehicle that hit Morales is identified as Alyssa Moneymaker, 23, of Borger.
Moneymaker was arrested for Intoxication Manslaughter and transported to the Hutchinson County Jail.
This incident remains under investigation at this time.
