Men indicted for murder in deadly drive-by shooting in Randall County

RANDALL COUNTY, Texas (KFDA) - A Randall County grand jury has indicted two men on murder charges related to a deadly drive-by shooting in Randall County.

On July 3, Kristie Harris was shot in the head on Double D Road near Tanglewood Drive. She died from her injuries on July 15.

One of the suspects was involved in an hours-long standoff with law enforcement after the shooting.

The standoff took place at an apartment complex near Oakdale Elementary.

After several hours, Anakin Harrison was taken into custody.

Five days later, officials arrested Jacob McCormick.

On September 24, the grand jury indicted Anakin Harrison and Jacob McCormick for murder and aggravated assault in a motor vehicle discharging a firearm recklessly at a habitation causing serious injury.
