On September 7, 2022, the Potter County Sheriff's Office and Amarillo Police Department (APD) conducted a Buy- Walk operation in Amarillo, Potter County, Texas.
During the operation, an APD confidential source, herein referred to as CS, conducted a controlled purchase of Methamphetamine from Michael CANDELARIA. The CS contacted Michael CANDELARIA at 806-433-7882 to set up the purchase of methamphetamine. CANDELARIA agreed to sell the CS two ounces of methamphetamine for $500 dollars. The CS and CANDELARIA agreed to meet at 3401 NE 24th Ave, Amarillo, Texas in the car wash parking lot.
The CS arrived at the meet location at 6:05pm and met with CANDELARIA. CANDELARIA was observed in a white Dodge Ram truck. The CS met CANDELARIA at the rear of CANDELARIA's white Dodge Ram Truck. CANDELARIA handed the CS a black sock that contained two clear knotted bags containing white crystalline substance that later tested positive for methamphetamine. The methamphetamine weighed approximately 86.9 gross grams.
On September 14, 2022, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Amarillo Resident Office (ARO) and Amarillo Police Department (APD) conducted a Buy-Walk operation in Amarillo, Potter County, Texas. During the operation, an APD CS, conducted a controlled purchase of Methamphetamine from Michael CANDELARIA. The CS contacted Michael CANDELARIA at 806-433-7882 to set up the purchase of methamphetamine. CANDELARIA agreed to sell the CS a quarter pound of methamphetamine for $1000 dollars.
The CS met CANDELARIA in the alley way behind 1309 SE 13th St, Amarillo, Texas. This location is CANDELARIA's mother's house. CANDELARIA was observed arriving to meet the CS in a White Dodge Ram truck. CANDELARIA handed the CS a small clear bag containing white crystalline substance that later tested positive for methamphetamine. The methamphetamine weighed approximately 146.4 gross grams.
On April 4, 2023, an APD marked patrol unit conducted a traffic stop on a WhitenDodge Ram bearing Texas Registration LKJ4832 for an on-view traffic violation. CANDELARIA was observed as the driver of this vehicle. CANDELARIA was found to have several outstanding traffic warrants and was arrested for the warrants.
