AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — A California man was arrested with 5.7 kilos of methamphetamine at the Greyhound bus terminal in Amarillo.

On Monday, an Amarillo Police Department K-9 officer was conducting a free air sniff of baggage.

According to the federal criminal complaint, the K-9 located five plastic bundles of methamphetamine in a suitcase.

The drugs were removed and then the suitcase was placed back on the bus.

"Passengers were told to grab their belongings off their bus due to a mechanical issue," said the complaint.

Jesus Mora-Reyes grabbed the same suitcase that previously had the meth in it.

According to the federal criminal complaint, Mora-Reyes admitted to being paid to transports the drugs from California to Oklahoma City. He said he had done it at least one other time.

Mora-Reyes is charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
