Family escapes overnight house fire in Amarillo

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — A family escaped an overnight house fire in Amarillo.

The fire started around 2:40 a.m. in the 2400 block of N. Wilson.

Firefighters found a fire near the backside of the house.

After putting it out, they searched inside for people.

Firefighters found a small fire inside.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

No injuries were reported, although paramedics checked out a little boy at the scene.
