Woman injured after being hit by car, driver sought

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — A woman was injured after being hit by a car on Wednesday morning.

Amarillo police were sent to the 400 block of N. Lakeside Drive at about 5:50 a.m. for a traffic crash involving a car striking a pedestrian.

The car and driver left the scene and there is currently no information on the vehicle or driver.

The woman was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating.
