Woman killed by hit-and-run driver on Amarillo Boulevard, run over by 2nd car | KVII

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — A woman was killed by a hit-and-run driver on Amarillo Boulevard, then run over by a second car.

Police said around 9 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to the 5600 block of Amarillo Boulevard near Eastern, on a traffic crash involving a pedestrian.

When they arrived, the victim was already dead.

According to police, a man was westbound on Amarillo Blvd. When he moved over into the turn lane, the man felt his vehicle drive over something.

The man stopped, saw the victim in the street and immediately called 911.

Officers found evidence from another vehicle, a white car, at the scene. Police believe that vehicle hit the woman first and left the scene.

The victim was identified as 55-year-old Angela Ramirez.
