AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - A man who led police on a high-speed chase and broke into a home while wearing an unusual outfit was indicted by a Potter County grand jury.
On June 15, officers received an alert of a stolen car in the area of 34th and Western street.
They located the car, a Volkswagen Jetta, northbound on Western at Chama and attempted to make a stop.
The driver, later identified as 37-year-old Aaron Wayne Walling, accelerated and engaged officers in a pursuit.
According to Amarillo Police Department, Walling crashed through a parking garage, attempting to run over one officer trying to stop him.
Walling then crashed through the tennis court of an apartment complex near 15th and Kentucky.
In the video, pieces of the Jetta are seen coming off the car.
Walling is also seen sprinting around a corner after crashing the Jetta into a gas meter.
He climbs over a fence wearing a black cardigan over what seems to be a black bikini outfit, complete with a head scarf, heels, and oversized sunglasses.
The video also shows Walling entering the home, losing a high heel in the process.
The homeowner called police and informed them that she thought an intruder was locked in her upstairs bedroom.
Officers arrived as the Bikini Bandit attempted to escape through a window and took him into custody.
