AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — The Amarillo Police Department's Homicide Unit is looking to develop new leads in a murder that occurred in January.

Police were sent to the 4100 block of S. Travis after a neighbor heard shots fired.

Upon arrival, Markell Damarion Toombs-Reed was found dead in the street with a gunshot wound. He died on the scene.

A suspect vehicle was captured on camera and additional video evidence showed multiple suspects in the shooting.

The vehicle is described as Chevrolet Impala, either silver, gray or possibly pewter or beige. The color is difficult to determine due to the hour of the morning when the vehicle was seen on camera.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Amarillo Crime Stoppers at (806) 374-4400 or submit a tip online at amapolice.org or by using the P3 Tips app. An undisclosed reward is being offered for tips resulting in the solving of this murder.
