AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Amarillo police used pepper balls and a K-9 to get two burglary suspects out of a home.
Around 4 a.m., police responded to a burglary in the 4100 block of Julie Drive.
They found two suspects inside the home, but both refused to come out. So they sent in a K-9 officer.
When that didn't work, police fired pepper balls into the home.
Ashton Wayne Simmons, 27, and Baylee Victoria McKinney, 27, came out of the home choking on the fumes.

Police said Simmons and McKinney drove a stolen Chevrolet Equinox to the home. Officers found it parked in the alley. Inside the car, they found property stolen from a previous burglary.
Simmons was wanted on multiple felony warrants.
Mckinney was in possession of methamphetamines.
Both suspects were arrested and booked into the Randall County Jail.
