Randall County firefighters rescue disabled person trapped in burning home

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Randall County firefighters rescued a disabled person trapped in a burning home.

They responded to a house fire Saturday in the 10500 block of Choctaw Trail.

Firefighters were told a disabled person was still inside.

When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke in the home.

Firefighters were able to find the disabled person and get them out safely.

The victim was evaluated and refused treatment/ transport.

According to the Randall County Fire Department, the fire was under control in 18 minutes after the 911 call was made.
