DPS: Joint operation leads to 11 arrests, 12 citations for theft


AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - A joint operation involving multiple agencies resulted in 11 being arrested and 12 being given citations for theft.

On June 12 and 13 the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division Special Agents conducted a joint operation targeting theft at local businesses in Amarillo.

The operation involved the DPS Criminal Investigations Division Special Agents, DPS Texas Highway Patrol Troopers, Trooper K-9 units, and the Potter and Randall County Sheriff’s Offices.

The operation lead to the arrest of 11 people and citations for theft written to 12 others.

According to DPS, law enforcement recovered $19,759 in stolen property in this two-day joint operation.
