Amarillo police arrest 2 juveniles following Tuesday night shootings

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Amarillo police arrest two juveniles following multiple overnight shootings on Tuesday.

According to the Amarillo Police Department, Tuesday night officers responded to the area of Southeast 24th Avenue and South Houston Street for reports of shots fired at a home.

Officers learned there were two victims inside the home that were uninjured.

Officials say midnight officers, Violent Crimes detectives, the Gang Unit, and PACE responded to investigate.

During this investigation, another call for shots fired was reported in the area of Northeast 12th and Northeast 20th Avenues near Jasmine Street.

When officers arrived, they found four more uninjured victims.

Investigators identified and arrested two juvenile suspects.

Both are facing six counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

This remains an ongoing investigation.
