AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — An Amarillo woman accused of killing her 7-month-old son was indicted for murder.

According to court documents, Angel Lynn Marie Varner, 20, knew her son,Jackson Knight Blackmon, wasn't breathing after throwing him onto the floor.

Instead of calling 911, she went to sleep.

The murder happened in November at theduplex Varner shares with Jackson's father and two other roommates.

Jackson woke up at 2:30 a.m. and was crying in his crib in the living room.

A roommate -- who was sleeping in the living room with her boyfriend -- told police Varner came into the living room, got her son and took him into the bedroom.

The roommate heard a "thud" from the bedroom.

When police interviewed Varner after the autopsy, which determined he died from blunt force trauma, she admitted throwing Jackson on the bed and swaddling him with two blankets.

She "applied pressure to his abdomen" until he stopped crying, threw Jackson on the floor and went to sleep.

The day before she was arrested, Varner created a GoFundMe page to help with funeral expenses.

After ABC 7 News contacted GoFundMe about Varner's arrest, a spokesperson said the fundraiser was removed from the platform and all donors got a refund.
