AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — ABC 7 has learned the name of the suspect who was found dead in an Amarillo apartment hours after the FBI attempted to serve a warrant.
But we will likely never know whey he was wanted.
A source confirmed Adjalin Casey Wright was the target of the warrant.
We also learned Wright was briefly a corrections officer.
According to TDCJ, Wright worked at the Clements Unit for two months in 2016.
But there is not much of a paper trail on Wright beyond that.
FBI agents went to the Ridgecrest Apartments on June 9 to arrest Wright and search his apartment.
During the three hour standoff, FBI agents repeated the same message over a loud speaker.
"Adjalin Wright, this is the FBI. We have a warrant. Exit the front door of your apartment with your hands in the air."

Wright refused to come out.
According to the FBI, shots were heard inside the apartment.
"Adjalin Wright, this is the FBI. If you're hurt, come out the front door and we'll give you aid," agents repeated over the loud speaker.
The FBI eventually knocked down the back patio fence and busted through the sliding glass door.
Wright's body was found inside.
The U.S. Attorney's Office told ABC 7 News because Wright died before the warrant was unsealed, it will not be made public.
