Murder-Suicide: Amarillo man kills his wife, 2 kids, then shoots himself; police say

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — An Amarillo man killed his wife, two kids, then turned the gun on himself.

The murder-suicide happened before 6:30 p.m. Saturday at 3600 NE 14th Ave.

A family member called 911 after finding the bodies.

Jose David Olmos, 42, killed his wife Jessica Rose Olmos, 33, and two kids, according to police.

Police did not release the names of the two children, but they areJazele and Daniel.

Jessica and her two kids suffered multiple gun shot wounds and died at the scene.

The home was roped off Saturday night with crime scene tape.

The Homicide Unit was there along with the Crime Scene Unit.

An ABC 7 News crew witnessed two bodies being removed from the home.

According to APD crime statistics, this is the 13th homicide of the year.
