Canyon man arrested on stalking, terroristic threat charges
AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - A Canyon man is in jail on serious charges.
Records show that in the early hours of Friday, Amarillo police officers were called out to a home near Julian Boulevard and S. Bonham street on a burglary.
Five victims are listed along with the offenses of stalking and terroristic threat.
Shannon Andrew Dunlap, 49, was arrested a short time later and booked into the Potter County Detention Center on a charge of stalking.

Stalking is a third-degree felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison by Texas law.
Dunlap is said to have traveled from Canyon to Amarillo wearing body armor and made significant threats towards an individual who presently has a restraining order against him.
At his arraignment, Justice of Peace Thomas Jones set Dunlap’s bond at $150,000 with a condition that an ankle monitor with GPS be put on Dunlap within 72 hours of release.
Within hours, police executed a search warrant at a residence on Idlewood Lane in Canyon.
An officer at the scene confirmed the warrant when asked; a separate source confirmed the link between the residence, warrant, and Dunlap but did not know the specific evidence the search warrant was for.
A neighbor said that a man and woman were seen moving items out of the home after law enforcement left.
The next day, Dunlap was informed of six additional charges filed against him out of Randall County.
The victims listed are the same ones listed in the records for the incident on Bonham street.
Dunlap now has five charges of terroristic threat of a family member; each charge has a $25,000 bond.
He also has a felony charge of terroristic threat with a bond set at $250,000, bringing his total amount to over half a million.
Requests for more information about these incidents have been made to the appropriate agencies.
