AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — A suspect was found dead in an Amarillo apartment hours after the FBI attempted to serve a warrant.
FBI agents went to the Ridgecrest Apartments, between S. Western Street and Teckla Blvd., at 6 a.m.
The suspect refused to come out.
"Shots were heard inside the (apartment)," said the FBI.
At 9 a.m., the FBI knocked down the back patio fence and busted through the sliding glass door.
The FBI confirmed to ABC 7 they found the suspect's body inside.
The FBI has not released his name or information about the warrant.
No shots were fired by law enforcement, according to the FBI.
