AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — One person was injured in a shooting in the San Jacinto area of Amarillo.

Around 4 p.m. Thursday, police officers were sent to the area of 800 S. Belleview on a shots fired call.

Several residents called 911 after hearing gunfire.

When officers arrived, they found a juvenile male had been shot and had non life threatening injuries.

He was treated at the scene.

Police believe he was shot by another juvenile.
