Summary

Initial call involved ex-girlfriend of suspect. Suspect held female against her will overnight, duct tapped her wrists and pistol whipped her. Suspect had numerous outstanding felony warrants out of Potter and Randall County. Suspect pulled handgun on officer as officer attempted to detain/arrest and was engaged by officer who missed. Suspect fled on foot and returned fire at officer. Officer returned fire, again not striking the suspect. Suspect forced entry into storm cellar of nearby house where he barricaded himself up. SWAT was contacted and attempted negotiations, which were futile. Suspect fired numerous more times, before shooting himself in the head, ending his own life. Autopsy revealed no injury subsequent to police use of force (all police gunfire missed) and suspect cause of death revealed to be suicide, self-inflicted GSW to head.)
