Clothes, trash catch fire inside boarded up home in northwest Amarillo

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — A cinder block home that was boarded up and had no utilities caught fire in northwest Amarillo on Monday morning.

Amarillo firefighters responded to the fire at 10:37 a.m. at N. Washington and Amarillo Boulevard and arrived four minutes later.

The fire appeared to be clothes and trash burning inside the home.

There were no injuries and no people around.

The fire was called under control at 10:46 a.m.

Six units responded with 18 firefighters.
