Suspects in deadly shooting at Axiom Apartments arrested in Amarillo and Lubbock

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Amarillo police have arrested two people for charges related to the deadly shooting at the Axiom Apartments.

The shooting happened on Tuesday, May 14 around 8:34 p.m. Amarillo police received multiple calls about shots fired at the Axiom Apartments on Bell Street.

When officers arrived, they found 47-year-old Gerald Abdu-Daoud Henry with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Wednesday, homicide investigators and officers from the Amarillo Police Department arrested Kevin Sanders for murder.

A second suspect, identified as Terrence Thomas, was located in Lubbock and arrested for murder.

The Amarillo Police Department Homicide Unit is still investigating this shooting.
