Woman accused of murder returned to Potter County Detention Center on bond surrender

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - An Amarillo woman connected to a 2021 drive-by murder will remain in Potter County Detention Center following a bond surrender.

Amarillo police arrested 22-year-old Arrington Grace Sleeper on July 30 following a bond surrender dated July 24.

Sleeper is one of five co-defendants accused of committing a May 2021 drive-by shooting that left a 18-year-old Chloe Vivens dead.

Sleeper was 17 at the time of the murder.

She faces multiple charges in both Potter and Randall counties.

Potter County

For the murder charge, Sleeper’s first bond was set at $100,000 with Freedom Bail Bonds. A surrender warrant was executed in May 2022.

Her second bond was set at $50,000 with Allstate Bail Bonds in February 2023. A surrender warrant was executed July 24.

Sleeper is also charged with assault on a peace officer, a second-degree felony, stemming from an August 2023 incident.

She was released on $10,000 bond with Central Bail Bonds in February 2024. A surrender warrant was executed July 28.

Randall County

In Randall County, Sleeper has four open misdemeanor cases.

Two are for resisting arrest. The more recent of the two shows a date of May 28, 2021 which was two days before the death of Vivens.

The most recent arrest is for evading arrest in December 2023. Central Bail Bonds issued a bond surrender on this in the last week of July.

Sleeper’s co-defendants, Antonio Sonia and Caden Walden, remain in the Potter County Detention Center in lieu of bond.

Co-defendants Christopher Green and Ezikedis Davis remain released on bond.

Sleeper’s bond has not yet been set.
